Appoint an eConsult champion

Your eConsult champion will be a member of staff that has the passion to lead on making eConsult a success. Your nominated champion will:

  • Receive regular reports to check progress
  • Monitor staff training needs
  • Lead on promoting eConsult
  • Find ways to get the message to patients
  • Liaise with the eConsult team who will always help look at ways to improve service

To get patients at every opportunity, and driving patients onto the practice website to use eConsult.

Adding local services to eConsult

If you have any local services that patients can access via an online referral form, let us know. The services can be incorporated into your eConsult site. Any additional services added will appear like this:

Track the outcomes of your eConsults

We have created templates and protocols to help practices process eConsults in a consistent and efficient manner with both EMIS template manager and resource publisher and also System One. It will also enable you to run accurate and meaningful reports on eConsults.

Additional Services

Q health Digital Locums and Virtual PCs

Additional services provided by our partners QHealth.

Digital Locums:  Single click booking, 20-25% cheaper than in-person locums. The digital locum capacity is charged at an hourly rate for the doctors’ time – rates range from £65/hr in the day to £85 in the evenings, £75 at weekends. Digital locums can work remotely with secure access to practice clinical systems using virtual PCs and smartcard with HSCN connection

Virtual PC  

This enables secure remote and flexible working for practices that have closed due to the pandemic and for Clinicians and staff that are self-isolating. Virtual PC would give the practice access to all software they would normally use in the practice using their own laptop. This means the practice can start using the service without the need to purchase any new hardware and remove VPN costs.
