The Transformation Agenda

Helping GPs to meet the expectations from NHS England for general practice to adopt an online consultation tool in 2017.

In 2017 NHS England is making an additional £45million available over the course of three years to CCGs to invest in online consultation tools for patient access within their respective catchments. This funding has been ring-fenced and is due for release from April 2017.

This means that successful general practices will stand to benefit from a cash injection that could help them fund the total cost for implementing an online consultation system, and help them meet the transformation goals for 2017 as outlined by NHS England.
