The judges felt eConsult had clear, deliverable ambitions and a forward-thinking development strategy. The entry showed deliverable benefits at a remarkable scale and a plan to innovate further with the potential to spread nationwide.

HSJ Awards
eConsult is the proud winner of the Primary Care Innovation Award 2017.
The HSJ Awards is the largest ceremony of its type in the world, showcasing some of the best examples of forward-thinking innovation the healthcare sector has to offer. The judging panel said “[the eConsult] approach is the model for the whole of the NHS. It focuses on the future, is clinically led, evolving and responsive to patient needs”.
Digital Health London Accelerator
eConsult is delighted to have been selected onto the Digital Health London Accelerator programme 2017. This is a pioneering and groundbreaking 12-month Accelerator programme aimed at supporting, nurturing and developing the top 30 selected high potential, small- and medium-sized digital health businesses within London.
SBRI Healthcare Award (phases 1 and 2)
eConsult was awarded £1million in 2021 as part of the SBRI’s awards to progress pioneering innovations in urgent and emergency care to the next level.
SBRI Healthcare is an NHS England & NHS Improvement initiative, supported by the Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) and managed by LGC Group. They aim to promote UK economic growth whilst addressing unmet health needs and enhancing the take up of known best practices.
NHSX Round 2 AI in Health and Care Awards
eConsult was awarded funding to develop AI to intelligently triage and automate GP e-consultation requests, reducing staff time to manage the system.eConsult’s eHub aims to improve clinician efficiency, and allow easier interface for GPs and admin staff with eConsult software, reducing errors and improving patient safety.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Award is run by the Accelerated Access Collaborative (AAC) in partnership with NHSX and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). It will make £140 million available over four years to accelerate the testing and evaluation of the most promising AI technologies which meet the strategic aims set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.
