What does eConsult do?

  1. Request

    Patients go online and submit a request to their practice using a mix of free text and structured clinical questions. Urgent issues are redirected to more appropriate care.

  2. Review

    Practice staff review each eConsult, noting flags and alerts on the structured history report that supports triage.

  3. Respond

    Practice triages and responds to each eConsult through the most appropriate channel (email, SMS, video, telephone call) to provide the most appropriate care.
