Clinical system templates can be used to improve efficiency when integrating eConsult into your practice. We will be updating this section with templates for different clinical systems. The following templates have been designed to work with Snomed enabled practices. We are working on developing new templates that will work with non-snomed practices.
If you have any other templates you would like to share with other users, please get in touch.
Please note: The following templates and protocols are .exe files. You will be unable to use or view them outside of the clinical system. They are designed to be uploaded to your clinical system.
EMIS, SystmOne and Vision eConsult reception navigation templates – eConsult lite

We know that not every patient can use eConsult, however, it can help a practice if every patient request that comes into the practice comes in the form of an eConsult. The attached EMIS and SystmOne templates have been built to allow receptionists to complete an eConsult with patients who are unable to do so online, via phone. This can be combined with a Total Triage model of care.
EMIS and Systm One and Vision Template:
The templates are used to capture the patient’s request. This is for patients who call the practice and are not able to complete an eConsult for whatever reason (no internet etc.) or have been unable to complete an eConsult for safety reasons (pain threshold etc).
The receptionist would simply ask the patient each question contained in the template. All free text with additional tick box options. The receptionist then saves to the patient records and then adds the patient to the usual telephone triage list.
The clinical team, having selected the patient from the appointment screen will then see all of this collected information. This is a lot more than would normally be entered within a patient appointment note.
Guides on importing templates
You can see what this will look like below.
The protocols automate the running of the templates. The protocol will prompt the receptionist to ask questions and navigate through the template.
The protocol will work as a smart button once activated. (F12 key)
The receptionist, once the protocol has been completed, would then add the patient to the usual telephone triage list.
