Over the past 4 years we have mobilised over 1000 practices with eConsult across every type of demographic and list size. From our experience we know that speaking to, and promoting eConsult to patients at every opportunity is the most effective way at marketing eConsult.

Have all your staff completed an eConsult? If not get them to do one on your practice website or use our demo site. You can’t promote something if you have never used it.

We would suggest that you firstly make sure all staff have completed an eConsult so they understand the process.

For different staff the opportunties to promote eConsult will be different. A clinician might want to suggest a patient uses eConsult for their follow ups, or next time they have symptoms. A receptionist may suggest it to a patient over the phone, or to those waiting in a queue to be seen.

When to suggest eConsult?

Admin Staff:

When a patient comes into the pracitce

When a patient calls on the phone

Clinical Staff:

At the end of a consultation — suggest next time the patient uses eConsult. You could show them where to find it on the website.
